Activities

  • Permanent exhibition to promote understanding, community cohesion and facilitate for school, college and university visits and aid R.E.  curriculum ( see letters of appreciation).
  • Encourage and welcome visits from local and national authorities, voluntary and  public sector, social and community groups, interfaith organisations and faith groups to improve relations between communities (see letters of positive feedback).
  • Culture awareness courses and programmes to build bridges and eradicate misunderstandings (Please see summary of feedback from Salford city council, who attended a course, 12 senior officers and 6 councillors).
  • Facilitate meetings e,g Youth services regional managers and area chaplains meeting (see feedback from northwest regional youth work unit).
  • Partnership with Open College Network and Preston College to promote education.
  • Arranging programmes in partnership with University of Bolton for the common good (see posters).
  • Open Iftari Event in the Month of Ramadhan (as observed by your self).
  • Open days for all communities (see poster).
  • Open dialogues between the Imam and the Archbishop (see poster).
  • Arrange visits from mosque to churches and vice versa for the purpose of building a community of respect, harmony and good relationships.
  • Special youth programmes in partnership with the youth workers to educate them of social values, responsibilities and issues of citizenship aiming to inculcate good social behavior and to keep them away from anti social behaviour. Some of these programmes are attended by Amir Khan to serve as a role model.
